Like all HPU students, those planning to major in Communication begin in the freshman and sophomore years by taking a wide range of core courses introducing the major disciplines of an undergraduate education (science, foreign languages, humanities, and social sciences). In your first two years, you are introduced through different academic diciplines to the core knowledge a university-educated student is expected to master. The Junior and Senior years

When you have completed the sophomore years, you can select a major for your last two years. If you choose Communication, you begin a diverse course of studies which will explore the field of mass media including radio, television, movies, magazines, newspapers, advertising, and public relations. When the introductory courses heve been completed, you will select one of five areas to concentrate your studies: advertising, journalism, public realtions, speech or theater. Each field can lead to a variety of interesting, exciting, challenging, and lucrative careers and excellent preparation for graduate study in law or medicine.
